A brief bit of history...

Elected Associate, Photographic Society of America (APSA) at the PSA 1995 International Conference on Photography, at Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia.  Original creator of the first PSA website in the mid 1990's.  Currently the Photo Travel Division Editor in the PSA Journal, Co-Region Director for Region 15 (New England, central and upper New York) of the Photographic Society of America and in 2002 appointed as the Webmaster for the Society's website located at www.psa-photo.org.  Established secondary PSA website at www.psaphoto.org for the use of the Electronic Imaging Division Study Groups and for various other services not being offered on the main website.

He was elected a Master Member of the New England Camera Club Council (MNEC) recognizing his work in sharing knowledge with photographers and camera clubs throughout the New England region.  The presentation was made at the 60th Annual Conference that took place July 15-17, 2005 at UMass/Amherst.  At the 61st Conference in July 2006 he was elected a Vice President of the NECCC with duties as editor of the NECCC Bulletin.

Was elected an Honorary Member of the South Shore Camera Club where service included Club Presidency, Program Chairman, Educational Chairman, Publicity Chairman, Secretary and the Editor/Publisher of the club newsletter - The Cable Release and maintainer of the club website at www.southshorecameraclub.com.

Created the Photo Talk BBS in December 1982 (which was online for 15 years) and formed the Photo Talk Echomail Conference on FidoNet, which evolved into one of the Internet newsgroups that is known as the PhotoGallery, which is available by subscription only.

Former Telecommunications Group Director of the now defunct Boston Computer Society and was the monthly columnist of Telecommunications Update for the BCS Journal.

Photographic work has graced the covers of The Boston Sunday Globe Magazine and The Boston Sunday Herald Magazine.  A major display of photographic work were the life-sized photographs of people that were on display for 11 years at Boston's Museum of Science.  Published in Modern Maturity Magazine, Dynamic Years Magazine, and by Ginn & Company and Houghton-Mifflin Company in many of their books.  Photographs were used to illustrate an article on the lobster industry for the University of Maine Magazine.

Recent solo exhibits have included Brunswick Bookland in February 2004, the Waldo Theatre Gallery in March and April 2004, and Uncas Farms Gallery in Whitefield in October 2004.  In 2005 and 2006 participated in the annual members exhibit at Round Top Center for the Arts in Damariscotta, a group show with the First Light Camera Club at Gallery Framing in Brunswick during February and March, and a one man exhibition at the Lincoln Home in Newcastle, Maine in April and May of 2005.  Participated in group shows under the auspices of the Jefferson Historical Society in 2004 and 2005.  His work was also part of the Lincoln Home Art Sale at Gallery 170 in Damariscotta in May and one of his three contributions was one of the 50 items that were sold for the benefit of the Lincoln Home.  He has six prints on display at the Miles Hospital Professional Building in Damariscotta and  four prints displayed at Senior Spectrum in Damariscotta.  He has exhibited at Art for Outreach under the auspices of St. Andrew's Church Lawn Party in Summer where he has participated since 2001.
