The Newton Camera Club is sponsored by the Newton Public Library, Newton, MA. The club is open to all interested photographers regardless of skill level. Our mission is to provide a compatible group of people with whom to discuss photography and perhaps accompany on field trips. While we occasionally use prints, most of the work of the club focuses on color slides. Meetings usually alternate between presentations by invited professional or advanced amateur photographers and slide competitions. The slide competitions are judged by outside judges and provide a good learning experience for both novice and advanced photographers.

Meetings are held on the second and fourth Monday of the month at 7:30 pm in the basement of the Nonantum Branch of the Newton Library on the corner of Bridge St and Route 16. The entrance is near the rear of the building. Annual dues are $25. The season usually ends with a photographic scavenger hunt and banquet.
