The First Light Camera Club formed in 1990 and has received recognition as a viable club covering the midcoast region of Maine.  Our membership is open to anyone of any age who has an interest in any aspect of photography. 

The purpose of our club is to foster the science and art of photography among the members and to develop the photographic skills of the members whether using film or digital methods or a combination of both.

Members can participate in New England Camera Club Council (NECCC) photography critique circuits and in-club photo discussion programs.  They can become program speakers at regular program meetings and give special training and workshops to help other members increase their photographic knowledge and expertise.

Club activities are held on a regular basis at which a variety of speakers and learning experiences are presented such as field trips, educational seminars, photographic application workshops and photographic evaluation meetings.

The Club meets at 7:00 PM on the second and fourth Thursdays beginning the second Thursday in September continuing through the fourth Thursday in May, except as noted, at the Midcoast Senior Health Center, 58 Baribeau Drive in Brunswick, Maine. Click HERE to go to the Mapquest map of the location.

NOTE:  The club does not meet on the 4th Thursday in November due to Thanksgiving nor on the 4th Thursday in December due to the Christmas holidays.

The 2008 New England Camera Club Council's annual Conference will take place on July 11-13 at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA.  This is a great event to attend and you can visit the Council website for more details at www.neccc.org.
